VB6 to VB.NET Migration Strategies 
     with Bob Avallone and Dan Hermes

VB.NET is a major upgrade from VB 6.0. While there are many changes the basic language structure is the same. Microsoft provides a tool called the Visual Basic Upgrade Wizard that can help the developer convert applications. While the wizard will convert most of the code, it is far from perfect.  We will explore the Upgrade Wizard by converting a simple application.  We will discuss how to approach some of the language differences during a migration.

Bob Avallone is founder, President and principal consultant at MetaPro Systems Inc. www.metaprosystems.com.
